January Flew by (It's still New Year though)

It was just New Year’s Eve and now we are already saying goodbye to January. Even though it has been a jam-packed month, my heart has been thinking of all of you here at STARLIGHT! How are you doing? How was your January?

What is a positive moment and memory that you’re holding on to from January?
For me I am still celebrating the 1 year anniversary of my Laugh About It Radio Show. I have been dreaming of having a FM radio show for DECADES, and not only is it a reality- it’s been on for over a year now! (Nothing is impossible and it’s never too late.)

As the featured photo of this post states, I want to encourage you to “Be proud of how far you’ve come, even if you feel behind in life.” You’re actually not behind. You’re not a product or machine- you don’t have an expiration date. Sometimes it’s hard to be proud of ourselves if we are constantly comparing, self-sabotaging, beating ourselves up or not being present. We will go into more depth on these topics in future discussions.

Being proud of ourselves can take time and is a gentle practice. When you make small positive changes in your life, when you book a new audition, when you take some time to write, when you workout, when you drink more water and eat a meal/snack, every performance, casting or gig- the list goes on. Even the most simple and tiny things can be beautiful moments that we can be proud of. I have been including this more in my own life/career and I find that it’s increased my peace, ability to be able to relax, mindfulness and more.

As we enter into February- carry with you the blessings, beautiful moments & memories and lessons from January. The things that haven’t gone the best don’t take away from your progress, and even your successes don’t define you. You are valuable and worthy no matter what!

I hope that the joy, excitement, wonder and splendor of the new year will rest in your heart all year round. Take a deep breath and soak in every happy moment.
