Merry Melodies- Dylan Clvnd

Welcome to a new series on my official blog titled “Merry Melodies”! “Merry Melodies” started as a special episodic series on my popular “Laugh About It with Sade Champagne” radio show and multimedia platforms where I highlight dynamic musical artists I am enjoying and want to share with you.

For this first weekly feature on my website/official blog, we are highlighting the brilliant, beautiful & multi-disciplinary Dylan Clvnd! Dylan Clvnd is one of my mentees and like a little siSTAR to me. Her first music video and single “Laced” was released October 24, 2025! I will be giving my review of them both here.

Off the bat, I want to congratulate Dylan for creating, writing, directing, executive producing, filming, designing and of course singing her new song and music video!!! This girl literally did everything, and I haven’t been this inspired by a merging artist in a long while!

Let’s start with the song. “Laced” is flowing with rich lyrics that touch my soul! I can relate to the feelings in this record. The way she layers her velvety voice with such precision and grace. She takes you on a journey lyrically and sonically. I love the heaviness and fullness of the song. Although I’m not surprised, it still blows my mind that Dylan produced this entire song herself!!! Brava!!!

Now let’s chat about the “Laced” music video (posted above- please go watch, like, comment and share. Feel free to subscribe to her YouTube channel too). The coloring, posing, costume and themes of the music video are all terrific! I enjoy Dylan’s facial expressions, overall musicality and cinematography. You don’t know what is coming next in the video and it’s extremely entertaining to watch! As one of her mentors I was smiling from ear to ear as she achieved one of these major life dreams. Dylan has such a dynamite mind and her creativity is neverending. I cannot wait to see what she will create, sing and write next. In the meantime I will keep running up the numbers on her new music video/song.
